What do we need to start a design?
Start with the installation ZIP, intended use, approximate dimensions, height, enclosure, openings, and installation surface. We can review your self-guided 3D design or help in an online design session. Confirm framing and panel gauges, roof style, accessories, and the approved configuration before ordering; do not assume upgrades from an illustration.
- We currently serve SC, NC, VA, and GA
- A ZIP is enough to start; the complete address is reviewed before the agreement
- A saved design is not an order, engineering approval, or permit
Is the starting range or 3D design a final price?
No. Review the final design and itemized written scope for the structure, delivery, installation, options, taxes, engineering, and site-specific equipment or labor. Site development is not automatically included. Reconfirm the quote's validity if it has expired or the configuration changes.
- Separate concrete, grading, utilities, and interior improvements from the structure budget
- Confirm equipment rental, access-related labor, permit-service scope, and government fees
- Use the current written quote, not a historical example or generic advertisement
Can a shell be used as a home, business, or occupied workshop?
Tell us the actual intended use before design review. Occupancy, zoning, fire, accessibility, energy, utilities, and foundation requirements can change the approval path. A steel shell is not automatically approved as a dwelling or for commercial use; an agricultural description does not establish a permit exemption.
- Confirm the proposed use with the local authority
- Identify any trade or occupancy approvals
- Do not begin site work based only on a visual design
Who handles permits, grading, and concrete?
You are responsible for confirming the jurisdiction, required permits, and prepared site. We coordinate available building information but cannot guarantee approval. Groundwork, leveling, grading, and concrete are arranged separately unless expressly included in your signed scope. A manufacturer waiver does not override local requirements.
- Check zoning and building rules for the installation parcel
- Coordinate drawings and foundation design before ordering concrete
- Our permitting directory is a starting point, not a jurisdiction determination
What slab dimensions, concrete strength, and curing are needed?
Do not size a slab from a roof-length label or generic online recommendation. Confirm the approved frame footprint, overhangs, openings, anchor locations and edge distances, foundation design, and elevations. The concrete professional, applicable engineer, and manufacturer must confirm the required strength and cure acceptance; early installation is not automatically allowed.
- Obtain approved dimensions before pouring
- Disclose slope and confirm site acceptance rather than assuming a generic leveling allowance
- Confirm the exact surface and anchoring for the structure and local loads
What access, utilities, and lifting equipment should be checked?
Send photos showing gates, driveways, turns, slopes, overhead lines, trees, fences, and nearby structures. Arrange utility marking and disclose hazards. Building width, height, pitch, obstacles, and site conditions can change equipment needs. Obtain the exact lift type, capacity, reach, site acceptance, rental responsibility, and duration in writing before booking.
- A boom lift, scissor lift, and telescopic forklift are not interchangeable
- Disclose installations over or near vehicles, fences, retaining walls, or other obstacles
- Do not rely on a single width or height threshold to decide whether a lift is needed
How do deposits, financing, changes, and cancellation work?
The approved written agreement controls the deposit, remaining balance, payment recipients, methods, and charges. We do not apply a universal deposit percentage. Traditional financing and EZ Pay are different arrangements; availability, eligibility, and terms need separate confirmation. Ask before changing a design, supplying doors or windows, or cancelling, because written approval and order-specific charges may apply.
- Review and sign the agreement before paying the requested deposit
- Confirm payment instructions and any card fee for the correct recipient
- Request the applicable written refund, change, cancellation, and rescheduling terms
When will installation happen?
Scheduling follows the required order, site, permit, payment, and manufacturer acceptance steps. Weather, manufacturing, access, crew availability, and site readiness can change the schedule. We do not promise a fixed delivery or installation turnaround. Confirm the authorized contact, location and orientation, access, equipment, inspections, attendance, and payment arrangements before installation.
- A range, saved design, signed agreement, or deposit is not a guaranteed installation date
- Report readiness or access changes before dispatch
- Keep the site safely accessible and disclose unresolved issues
Does a warranty cover the whole building for one fixed period?
Do not assume framing, panels, finish, workmanship, and other components have identical coverage. Request the current legible written warranty for your order: covered defects, duration, maintenance, exclusions, reporting requirements, remedies, labor responsibility, and transfer rules. A wind or snow design rating is not insurance, blanket damage coverage, or a guarantee against collapse.
- Confirm any roof-style and building-length conditions in writing
- Do not assume all rust, leaks, condensation, water entry, or weather damage is covered
- Keep the agreement, warranty, drawings, permits, receipts, and maintenance records
Can modifications, relocation, or maintenance affect coverage?
Obtain written manufacturer approval before attachments, framing or panel changes, component substitutions, later enclosure, or relocation. Installer approval, anchoring, site conditions, maintenance, and relocation can affect safety and coverage. Do not assume the warranty transfers on resale or follows a moved building.
- Use the approved installer and anchoring design
- Request actual maintenance instructions rather than inventing a cleaning schedule
- Keep written approvals for later changes
What should be checked at completion or if a concern appears?
Compare the installation with the signed order and plans: location, dimensions, openings, panels, trim, anchors, doors, and accessories. Take dated photos and report concerns promptly. For a claim, provide order details, installation date and address, an issue description, when it first appeared, and clear photos. We coordinate the inquiry; manufacturer coverage and remedies need written determination.
- Keep people away from an immediate hazard and seek appropriate professional or emergency help
- Coordinate inspection before non-emergency repairs; do not assume reimbursement
- No response or repair turnaround is promised; contractual reporting deadlines still matter
